Gordon Rothacker Medal – big night in store for Ballarat stables
The Gordon Rothacker Medal.
It’s the Victorian trots community’s night of nights and it is on again at Crown Palladium on Sunday, October 22.
First awarded in 2002, the Rothacker Medal recognizes long and distinguished service to the harness racing industry.
The gala night will also feature country club and horse of the year awards.
Ballarat stables are already guaranteed horse of the year honours.
Each category features three finalists, and trainer Emma Stewart has all three finalists in two categories and Anton Golino in one.
In another, Michael Stanley and Emma Stewart-trained horses make up the three finalists.
What a night it promises to be.
